In just under a month, Eric McZeal has won his 2nd Chief’s Cup. Mr. McZeal has been willing to work extra shifts and assist where needed in readying Baton Rouge for the remodel.

Welcome to the very first series of Tech Tuesdays! We’re excited to launch this new weekly series dedicated to all things tech. Every Tuesday, we’ll delve into technology as it applies to City of Faith. We’ll grow and learn together to try and better ease into transitions and learn in a at your own pace environment.
In today Tech Tuesday we’ll introduce a series that will hopefully help us lead into a big transition coming to City of Faith, Microsoft Teams. Whether you’re an experienced with Teams, or not this months series aims to make help you learn more.
Before You begin!
Everyone should of received a notification yesterday to join the team. Security Staff and those without a 365 account you’ll want to use your browser or your cellular device. Admin Staff should just have to download the Teams business app to your computer be able to use it. Everyone else will get a notification in their email. If you have not please let me know.
If you are able to get in log in and send a message on the City of Faith General Chat saying Hello if not don’t worry we’ll be going into that next week!
What is Microsoft Teams?

This hierarchical structure helps keep conversations organized and relevant. Areas like the Water-Cooler can be used to share Good News and talk about things not related to our work. COF-LR Receives Commendation
City of Faith-Little Rock recently received this commendation from FCI Texarkana for their service to the community.
Gerald Washington Training Life Savers
Mr. Washington has been involving himself tirelessly in the community with a variety of outlets throughout a large span of his life. He’s been teaching Heart Saver First Aid/CPR/AED for the last 20 years of his life, which helps with preparation for any moments of medical emergency. In addition, he has been participating in volunteering in multiple other organizations. First, he’s been volunteering by providing free classes at the local churches, Boys & Girl Club, YMCA, and local women shelters. Secondly, he has been volunteering and assisting with Special Olympics since 1985. Lastly, a volunteer in support of Development Disability Adults with ARC Baton Rouge. Overall, Mr. Washington has been a very beneficial aid to the community throughout his life, which only begins to grow in time. This is seen with his newest endeavor of learning and teaching sign language. Only time will tell what other endeavors await.
FaithBox
Little Rock recently added a donation box dubbed the FaithBox in September. The box is open 24/7 for donations and neighbors to have access. A donation portal through PayPal has been made available to the public to contribute as well as an Amazon Wishlist. Anyone wanting to contribute to the FaithBox can use this link.
